FILIPPO MENOTTI

My name is Filippo Menotti and I was born in Varese. I lived for six years in Emilia Romagna, where I was fortunate to live in and explore the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. Two years ago, I moved to Piedmont and now live in a small village in Alto Vergante, in the province of Novara.

I am a GEA Guide in Piedmont, a Nordic Walking Instructor, and a Personal Trainer.

I love my work; I enjoy seeing people grow and improve not only physically but also in spirit.

I have loved the mountains since I was a child and started exploring them through long treks across the entire Alpine arc and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.

In 2013, I began mountain running, and in 2015, I embarked on the Grande Traversata delle Alpi, following the Via Alpina โ€” running solo, without maps or GPS โ€” covering over 1000 km and 45,000 meters of elevation gain in 46 days. After this adventure, in August 2016, I crossed Sardinia from Olbia to Cagliari, discovering a wonderful inland region. Then, in July 2018, I ran the Via Francigena. I have participated in several ultra-trail races including the Tor des Géants and Adamello Ultra Trail, as well as various trail and skyrunning events. I also practice ski mountaineering, climbing, and alpinism.

Iโ€™m not a fan of using ski lifts or cable cars โ€” I see every approach as a journey and an experience, living the mountain in its purest form.

I firmly believe life is a journey, and the best way to live it is to stay curious and never stop exploring!
