JACOPO PASOTTI
My name is Jacopo Pasotti. I am an environmental journalist, author, photographer, and speaker.
My photographic work has been featured in Repubblica, National Geographic, Internazionale, El País, and Deutsche Welle. For several years, I have focused my work on the relationship between human societies and the changing environment, particularly in mountain regions.
I was sent to Antarctica on assignment for National Geographic, reached the North Pole aboard a Russian nuclear icebreaker, and joined the Italian National Research Council (CNR) on a scientific expedition to the Baltoro Glacier in Pakistan. My work has been exhibited at the European Researchersโ Night (Venice), the Food and Science Festival (Mantua), and MACA (Turin). In 2023, I was invited to speak at TEDx Bergamo, where I shared my perspective on the changing Alpine landscape.
I have published several books on the environment and nature, as well as children's stories. In 2011, I was awarded the Piazzano Prize for Scientific Journalism.
