MOVIMENTO LENTO
Movimento Lento is a network of companies, associations, and professionals: technicians, guides, local storytellers, and travelers who collaborate to promote the culture of slow travel, on foot and by bicycle.
This network, in particular, manages the Cammino di Oropa, designed as a short ideal itinerary for those who have never undertaken a walking journey. The Cammino di Oropa was mapped out in 2012 by Alberto Conte, founder of Movimento Lento, and is now evolving into a network of routes attracting more and more travelers to the Biella area, still little known from a tourist perspective.
Within the Movimento Lento network is also Itineraria, a company specialized in enhancing "slow tourism" through new technologies. This organization, also founded by Alberto Conte, is responsible for itinerary design, GPS surveying, website and app development, and communication.
The collaboration between Garmont and Movimento Lento stems from shared values, particularly the desire to promote the culture of "slow travel," a way of traveling focused on sharing, rediscovering territories, and sustainability.
